ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN Foundation and Chevron launched a joint social project in the format of a special contest KAZAKHSTAN WATER RACE, which was launched in an online format last December.

Within the competition schoolchildren and students from 15 regions, 73 educational institutions have passed 2 months intensive training and received consultations from the group of mentors of the project.
In recent decades, water scarcity has reached a critical level, leading to rising sea levels and climate change. By 2040 the growth of water consumption in Kazakhstan will increase by 56%. According to the World Health Organization, about 785 million people do not have access to drinking water, and 2 billion people worldwide lack basic sanitation.
The main objective of the competition is to find innovative solutions related to achieving the 6th UN Sustainable Development Goal - "Ensure availability and rational use of water resources and sanitation for all"
